Your Rights as a Voter

Voters’ Rights in Oregon

Once you have registered to vote in Oregon, you have the right to:

  • Receive a card from your county elections office verifying your registration and notifying you of your precinct number and your legislative districts
  • Receive a ballot in the mail 18-14 days before elections are closed
  • Receive in the mail a Voters’ Pamphlet with arguments for and against ballot measures and candidates’ statements
  • Get a replacement ballot if yours is spoiled or lost
  • Vote even if you are unable to fill out your ballot. If you are unable to vote your ballot for any reason, you can get assistance. You can also request to receive information in an alternative format by contacting 1-866-ORE-VOTES or contact your county elections office. In some cases, members of local Leagues may be able to assist you in voting your ballot. Contact the nearest local League to find out if this option is available to you.
